DSAV us a local 501c3 non-profit organization in Northeast OHio and Western PA area established to provide resources, advocacy, education and opportunity for those with Down syndrome and their families. DSAV is open to family members, medical professionals, educators, and anyone intersted in helping those in our community with Down syndrome reach their fullest potential. As affiliate members of the National Down sydrome Congress and National down Syndrome Society, our goal is to offer resources and support to families in our surrounding area.
DSAV was established in 2007 to provide resources, support, advocacy, education and opportunity for those with Down syndrome and their families in Eastern Ohio and Western Pa. DSAV represents the needs of people with Down syndrome and their families to improve quality of life, preserve rights and advance interests. W work to enhance their status as citizens, encourage maximum independence and participation in community. We are affiliate members of National Down syndrome Congress (NDSC) , National Down syndrome Society (NDSS) and Ohio Down syndrome advocacy network (ODAN). DSAV provides support and resources through new parent packets, Medical legal and education lectures, public awareness/outreach, community/social events, age responsive programming and a proposed Down syndrome center.
