Children's Home Society Of North Carolina Inc

The mission of CHS is to promote the right of every child to a permanent, safe and loving home. We provide comprehensive foster care, adoption, and therapeutic support services to children placed in North Carolina Departments of Social Services custody due to neglect and abuse. In the last fiscal year, CHS provided services to 5,403 children and families in communities across the state of North Carolina. Many of the children we serve have special needs, including developmental disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health issues, as well as emotional and behavioral concerns. Since our inception in 1902, CHS has placed more than 13,500 children into safe and nurturing adoptive homes.
