The Autism Society of America-Northern Virginia Chapter promotes the general welfare of children and adults with autism spectrum disorders and provides support for their families, and the educational, vocational training and recreational needs of those with autism, and aids in the collection and dissemination of information to parents, professionals and the public.
Walk for Autism-Virginia (This program funds scholarships to offset the cost of autism treatments for families) Early Intervention: Enabling Families to Act Early Against Autism (This program provides intensive parent-training services for families of children newly diagnosed with autism)
The organization services children, teenagers and adults affected by autism. The Early Intervention Network, which is one of its programs, focuses on minority children, including African American and Latino children.
