Adoption Rhode Island helps children in the child welfare system find permanent loving homes. The CVS Charitable Trust's focus on children with physical disabilities can directly assist us in helping children with special needs. Nearly all of the children we serve have suffered from severe abuse and neglect and many are left with untreated medical problems. We believe that every child deserves a permanent family regardless of his/her age, ethnic background, history or disability. Often times, foster or pre-adoptive families are unaware or confused about how to access services and what services will best meet the needs of their child. We provide children and their families with education, information and referrals and offer a flexible approach providing services in families' homes, our office, and in community settings such as a child's group home / residential placement, schools or after school program.
