About Meeting Street
Meeting Street, an internationally recognized innovator in educational and therapeutic services for children of all abilities, based in Providence, Rhode Island, has been a pioneer in education, inclusion, early intervention, and therapeutic services for children with disabilities and developmental delays since 1946. Meeting Street is known for developing screening tests, models and practices that have been successfully implemented by educators and clinicians across the world.
Meeting Street opened one of the first and only nationally accredited
inclusive early learning centers in the country in 1995. In January
2007, the Meeting Street National Center of Excellence opened in Providence,
featuring The Grace School, one of the first fully inclusive elementary
and middle schools in the nation that educates learners of all abilities,
including students with severe and profound disabilities, and The Carter
School, a unique high school offering inclusive community and life skills
education for students with disabilities and developmental delays.
